Guidelines to be followed by students and parents when coming into the physical centre premises: Parents and guardians will not be allowed to enter within the Kumon Centre Office Space at any time. Students must be dropped off at the front door of our office and parents/guardians must immediately make their way back to the car to minimise contact with other public. Waiting in the corridor or anywhere inside the building will strictly not be encouraged at any time. You may ring the video bell downstairs and ask us if your child is ready for pick up, before coming upstairs or we can allow the student to come downstairs while you wait on video. This is for the safety of all others in the premises. All students will be spaced out at the centre at all times, siblings may be seated together while social distancing measures are in place. Students and staff will be asked to maintain good hand hygiene before and after class. It is recommended that all students carry their own stationary and sanitiser and wash their hands before and after class. We will not be providing stationary to be shared and the student may not do any written work if they are missing stationary. We will be cleaning high traffic areas between class and everyday outside of class on a regular basis. All students will be required to Check In and Check Out using a new system to allow us to contact trace as per government regulations. We will be following the 30min timeslots strictly for all students to ensure we maintain safe distancing at the premises. Whilst our goal is to develop speed and stamina in all kids, some students are still in the process of building this or may be studying much advanced levels and may take longer than 30min to finish homework swap, class work and marking/corrections. Please note that in such cases, we will still have to end their class session at the end of 30min for one subject and 60min for two subjects. It is adviced that you arrive at least 5min early for each timeslot to help us manage seating better. If you are coming to swap over a homework pack, please put in a request through your student portal , so we can make the process contactless for you on the day. Please do not attend the centre in person if you or your child are feeling ill on any day. Please put in a Request for HW pack for contactless pick up of the week's work. It isn't business as usual for any of us, so we appreciate your cooperation in following the above guidelines.

We are currently offering a variety of study options for families to choose from as follows; - Centre Only (Once a week) attendance - Centre (Once a week) + Online Zoom Session on demand - 100% Home Study (no attendance required except for test days) + Weekly Home Study Zoom session with an instructor The above options may change on short notice at the discretion of management. Please check with us while enrolling.

The Virtual Centre option is currently unavailable under eased restrictsions in Victoria. We are offering a one-on-one virtual doubt session booking for all our students as a Home Study Zoom Session option which can be booked from your student portal.

To help us manage the hygiene and social distancing measures, all students must wash their hands before and after the centre. All students must also carry their own staionary, sanitiser and Kumon worksheets with them to every class day. Please finish marking and uploading your homework sheets prior to your class day to ensure we plan forward more efficiently. Please aim to arrive 5 minutes earlier than your allocated timeslot to ensure we can do the Check In procedure and get you ready to start on time.

COVID Normal Operations: All Achievement Tests must be done at the centre premises in person. Students on 100% Home Study option may opt to come into the centre to do their test or do them under parental supervision at home and email us the photos for assessment purposes. Please let the instructor know before your coming test day so we can make arrangements to accomodate your child within the centre safely.

You may continue to book phone or Zoom consults through our Bookings page to discuss the progress and plan ahead for your child with the Head Instructor.

Since 2020, we have started to offer 100% Home Study and Correspondence study options to offer more flexibility to families in need. Under these options, you continue to receive worksheets monthly as per the planned progress of your child by the instructor while the student continues to study with support at home. We also have a variety of resources like supplementary tool purchase and videos on instruction to assist the family in guiding the child in the Kumon way as necessary. These families are also welcome to book one-on-one virtual doubt sessions when needed with the instructor to ensure that they always feel supported. Kumon being an independant worksheet based porgram can easily be sustained over long periods when studying at home or away from the centre. Please contact us to find out how you can avail this option for your child.

The centres will remain open as normal during term end school holidays except during the Christmas and New Year period when it may close for between 2-4 weeks for physical classes. Online classes continue to be offered during this time however no Make Up Classes can be availed for days when the centre was closed for physical operations to all students. Make Up Class Policy: Physical Make Up Class requests can be submitted through the portal for days when the centre was operational for all students but your child couldn’t attend No Make Up Classes are provided when the centre remained closed for all students due to a holiday or other reasons. Worksheets are always provided whether or not a child attends online / offline classes. Make Up Class requests are subject to availability and cannot be combined on the day of regular attendance for the child. It MUST be booked for a different day in that week. You may book online class at any time using your coupon code through the student’s individual portal. There is no monetory value for physical classes or Make Up Classes that can be claimed for any reason. Kumon only covers worksheets for the month.
